
It’s hair tip Tuesday. Did you know that you will get far more out of your hair mask if you use it before you exercise, rather than afterwards. As we all stay inside it is important to exercise. It is also very important to take care our your hair.
What is a hair mask?
A hair mask offers deep conditioning for your hair. It allows your hair to heal from prolonged damage. Ingredients such as natural oils and lipids are combined in heavier concentrations to ensure your hair is helped to heal. A warning this is not a treatment that lasts for a couple of minutes, allow at least an hour or sometimes overnight for this treatment to work.
Our Hair tip
Now this is interesting! If you use your hair mask before you work out, it will care for your hair whilst you get all hot and sweaty. This next bit is a bit yucky but bear with us. The salt from your sweat can dry out your tresses. The mask will moisturise your locks before the sweat starts. The heat from your workout will help the mask penetrate your hair. We’ll be trying this theory out later this week to see for ourselves. We’ll be using Argan Oil (obviously) as a pre -shampoo treatment before we start flinging ourselves around the living room to an online workout. Davina is currently our favourite!
